BIOGRAPHY
Emmy Gyori is an award-winning filmmaker based in both NY and LA. Her work focuses on human connection, mental health, movement and the natural world.
With over a decade of experience on and off camera, she's often a part of small teams - leading to wearing multiple hats on set and gaining the term 'Swiss Army Knife.' She particularly enjoys research & development, conducting on-camera interviews, story producing, and production coordination. As an unscripted producer in the documentary and digital space, Emmy has found herself making films in the depths of Western Australia (MEL Films), cracking jokes with high-profile talent in the midst of chaotic press junkets (Condé Nast), recording meditations (Headspace), and collaborating with one of the top therapists in the country to make a show that authentically documents the Couples Therapy experience on television (Couples Therapy, Showtime).
She is proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Software, CMS, Movie Magic, Social Media Management & Analytics, Notion and Google Drive.
In terms of her life outside of work, she's passionate about mindfulness, yoga (a certified instructor) sunshine, sleep and an orange tabby cat named Koo.
Emmy holds a B.F.A. from Chapman University in Film & Television and a B.A. in Psychology. .
